Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 25th!! Join us at Logboat from 3-6 p.m. for Voices of Columbia. FREE ADMISSION! Come out and enjoy live music with your family and friends all afternoon as we raise awareness about the vital work CASA volunteers do for children in foster care. There will be raffles and silent auction items to bid on throughout the event, as well as face painting and games for kids. Pizza Tree, Kona Ice, and GoPo will also be available for purchase! Don't miss it!!

Impact Moment!

CASA Raymond advocates for three brothers. One brother, Jacob, is living in a residential setting several hours away from his siblings. Communication between them has been limited for several years. An opportunity finally arose for Jacob to visit his grandparents and brothers on a holiday break. Due to case management changes and some miscommunication, this opportunity was at risk of not happening. Raymond was diligent in making sure the team was aware that this visit was VITAL for Jacob. He told the team, "Yesterday, Jacob called me from the residential facility, and in all my time on the case I have never heard him so positive and animated. To say he was excited about his upcoming visit with his brothers is an understatement. It will be devastating if he does not get to go." The team took action and Jacob was granted a visit with his brothers. Raymond's awareness, care, and advocacy on Jacob's behalf was crucial in making this visit happen.

Join us for the Juneteenth Parade

CASA is excited to be participating in the Juneteenth Parade again this year, and we would love for you to join us! Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Columbia will be celebrating this holiday with a parade downtown on Saturday June 17, and CASA will be participating! There are three ways you can help:

Join us and walk in the parade! We would like to have at least 30 people march in the parade with us! Fill out the sign up form by clicking the button below.
We would love to pass out candy bags with CASA information cards at this event! Please bring any candy donations to the Columbia CASA office by Friday, June 9. You can also send us candy directly by order from our Amazon Wish List!

Please help us welcome these new Heart of Missouri CASA volunteers! Congratulations to Emily Sinnott, Megan Tassone, Katherine Whitaker, Rebekah Freese, Anita Hummel, Carly Wobbe, and Janelle Shulte. They are ready to make a difference for some amazing children who need an advocate. We are so thankful to have them!
