Fresh air, warmer weather, and blooming flowers. What's not to love about spring? All of the sunshine has made us excited here at CASA!

Throughout the month of April, the communities of Boone and Callaway will be "blooming" with awareness. Look around and I bet you will see CASA yard signs around town showing support for Child Abuse Prevention Month. Callaway County will also be turning BLUE with our annual Callaway Goes Blue for CASA fundraising campaign!

Impact Moment!

Sandy has advocated for Josie, a teenage girl, over the last year. As they spent time together, Sandy became a trusted adult in her life. Sandy helped her navigate the court system, which often felt overwhelming. Sandy was there to help her with job searches, school, and supported her in the hobbies she was interested in. As the case headed toward guardianship Sandy helped Josie's grandmother by making sure the guardianship paperwork was received and filled out. Sandy has built a relationship with Josie and her grandmother that they all look forward to continuing!

Movie Night in Fulton

Join us at the Playhouse in Fulton for a cinematic event with a cause! The event will be the perfect ending to a month full of awareness! The film, " Remembering Trauma", helps shed light on the impact of complex trauma on children and youth. The film will conclude with a speaker panel and Q & A for all attending. We hope to see you there!

Training is made up of 15 hours in-person and 15 hours online.
