THE EMOTIONAL LIFE OF YOUR CHILD (Helping Little People With Big Feelings Workshop)
Children experience a wide range of emotions, but they often have difficulty understanding and expressing those emotions. Please join us for a two-part series aimed at promoting children’s emotional stability and well being in homes and school. This workshop will provide parents and practitioners with tools to help children identify, communicate about, and cope with strong feelings. Licensed therapists will introduce The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – an evidence-based emotions processing technique – as an option for helping children regulate their emotions. Although this information will be beneficial for individuals who interact with a range children ages, sessions will specifically target elementary-aged children (6-12 years old).
Children can have difficulty navigating in the sea of emotions and feelings. In a few weeks, Broadway will host a workshop for parents and practitioners who want to help children identify and cope with difficult feelings. Licensed therapists will introduce the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – an evidence based emotions processing technique – as as option to help children regulate their emotions.
