Education, School, and Counseling Psychology and The Bridge in the College of Education in collaboration with the Office of Diversity and Outreach Initiatives in the College of Engineering at the University of Missouri are welcoming internationally recognized author and speaker Dr. Tererai Trent to Mizzou on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, 6:30 pm at the Missouri Theatre.
Dr. Trent is distinguished as one of Oprah Winfrey’s “All-Time Favorite Guest”, Dr. Trent is a scholar, humanitarian, motivational speaker, educator, mentor. During her visit to Mizzou, Dr. Trent will address issues of social justice through education, empowerment of girls and women, and universal access to quality education. Her 2017 book, The Awakened Woman as well as her children’s book “The Girl Who Buried Her Dreams in a Can” inspires and challenges the potential within each of us.
